Revolution Brewing’s Cold Time Premium Lager Set to Become the Official Beer of the Chicago Hounds Rugby Team

Chicago, March 7, 2024 – Revolution Brewing has formed a union with the Chicago Hounds, their hometown professional rugby club, that will make Cold Time premium lager the official beer of the team for the 2024 Season. The partnership between rugby and beer is a natural fit, according to Revolution’s Chief Marketing Officer, Doug Veliky.

“Rugby has such a die-hard fan base who love to pair their passion with an easy-drinking beer, whether in the stands cheering on their team, or in the locker room after a grueling 80-minute match” Veliky said. “We’re confident that the Hounds and their faithful supporters will welcome the fresh, premium taste of Cold Time, made right here in Chicago.”

Just two months after its official launch, Cold Time finds itself well on its way to becoming Revolution’s number-two selling beer behind Anti-Hero IPA. After completing their inaugural Major League Rugby (MLR) season last year, the Hounds are also off to a fast start, winning their March 3rd opener on the road against Miami.

The Hounds, who are known to enjoy celebratory beers after hard-won matches, will begin toasting Cold Time in the locker room during the 2024 season. Revolution will kick-off the partnership by getting to know the fans through tailgate parties held outside the team’s Bridgeview, IL home at SeatGeek stadium before select games. 

Fans can expect to see Cold Time featured throughout each game, including on the field of play, scoreboard, PA announcements, and throughout the concession area all season long.

“The Hounds are especially excited about this partnership with Revolution Brewing and Cold Time Lager in particular,” said Hounds Chief Executive Officer James English. “It is a great brand and a great match for the Hounds. We can’t wait to get Cold Time in front of our fans this season, especially at tailgates.” 

Following three straight road games to begin their 2024 campaign, the Hounds will return to Chicago for their home opener on March 24, 2024. Fans can look for the Revolution crew outside SeatGeek stadium before matches and check the brewery’s website for future events and ticket giveaways.
