Pair of Hounds Earn Selection to Week Five First XV

CHICAGO, IL- Major League Rugby selected two Hounds for their Week Five “First XV”, a weekly team sheet highlighting the standout performances from across the league. Forward Mason Flesch earned his second selection of the season while rookie Noah Brown earned a selection after his first career start.

Flesch played the full 80 minutes and scored his first career MLR try on Saturday evening. He finished the night with eight carries for 47 meters gained and two defenders beaten. Defensively, the versatile forward completed all 12 of his tackle attempts. This is the second time this season Flesch earned a spot on the First XV, he was also selected for his Week 1 performance against the Miami Sharks.

Wing Noah Brown scored a pair of tries and gained 142 meters on nine carries (16 meters per carry). He added another clean line break to his stat totals in addition to beating four more defenders. Through three games, Brown gained 239 meters on 17 carries, beat eight defenders, broke the line twice, and scored two tries.
