Nate Augspurger
The Hounds acquired Augspurger via a trade with the New Orleans Gold in December of 2023. The Minneapolis native spent the first six seasons of his MLR career with the San Diego Legion.
In 2024, his first year with Chicago, Augspurger started all 15 of his appearances. He scored 42 points via eight tries, including a seven pointer. He carried the ball 86 times and gained 651 meters, beating 41 defenders and breaking the line four times.
Augspurger enjoyed a career year in 2023, culminating in the MLR Back of the Year award after the wing ran for 1,595 meters and scored a career-high 11 tries. His impressive performances week after week earned him a First-Team All-Pro nod.
Over the course of his MLR career, the veteran earned 73 caps and registered 5,184 minutes. He carried the ball 414 times and gained 3,760 meters (9.1 meters-per-carry). Augspurger touched the ball down 30 times for a total of 158 points. He has 34 clean line breaks and has beaten 156 defenders.
Defensively, he’s completed 567 of his 697 tackle attempts and is credited with 32 dominant tackles and eight breakdown turnovers won. Augspurger earned First-Team All-Pro honors at scrumhalf in 2019 and wing in 2023.
