Luke White
White signed with the Hounds before the 2023 Major League Rugby season and signed a contract extension after the 2024 season.
As the vice-captain in 2024, White earned 15 caps and started 10 games, registering 709 minutes of action. The versatile forward carried the ball 104 times for 568 meters and beat 19 defenders while making one clean break. White completed 103 of his 113 tackle attempts, including four dominant tackles- or tackles behind the gain line, resulting in a loss of yards.
During his first season in Chicago, White appeared in 12 contests and played 847 minutes. He scored three tries on 129 carries while gaining 671 meters (5.2 meters-per-carry). The forward completed 108 of his 121 tackle attempts.
White spent two seasons with the Los Angeles Giltinis, including their 2021 title winning campaign, after a three-year stint in Glendale with the Raptors. Over the course of his MLR career, the Australian native earned 80 caps and played 4,751 minutes. He scored ten tries, totalling 50 points, and carried the ball 620 times for 3,719 meters. He has been one of the most consistent defenders in the league over his seven year MLR career, logging 645 tackles on 721 attempts, including 57 dominant tackles.
