Julian Dominguez

Dominguez signed with Chicago ahead of the 2023 Major League Rugby season and has been one of the Hounds’ most consistent attacking threats over the last two seasons.

Despite just starting nine games in 2024, Dominguez showed yet again why is considered one of the best wings in Major League Rugby. The Argentinian finisher earned Second-Team All-Pro honors after scoring eight tries and gaining 566 meters on 53 carries (10.7 meters-per-carry). He beat a career-high 40 defenders and completed 27 of his 38 tackle attempts.

During his first season in Chicago, he was the X Factor on the Hounds’ attack. The wing appeared in 13 contests, making 13 starts, and was on the field for 892 minutes. He carried the ball 76 times for 911 meters gained and scored six tries. Dominguez was credited with one line break on the season and finished the year with 36 broken tackles.

Before signing with Chicago, Dominguez featured for both the Austin Gilgronis and the NOLA Gold. In 2022, the wing earned Second Team All-Pro honors after running for 915 meters and scoring six tries.

In 2021, Dominguez was amongst the best finishers in the league. The wing scored nine tries, beat 30 defenders, and had nine line breaks on his 89 carries for 972 meters gained. He capped off the season with First-Team All-MLR honors.

Over the course of Dominguez’s Major League Rugby career, he’s appeared in 55 games totaling 4,019 minutes. He scored 31 tries, good enough for 155 points, and ran the ball 356 times for 3,743 meters. The wing beat 135 defenders and broke the line 20 times while contributing 211 tackles on defense.
