Dylan Fawsitt
The Hounds announced Fawsitt’s signing on December 11, 2023 after the hooker spent the previous five seasons with the New York Ironworkers.
Fawsitt signed with the Hounds as one of Major League Rugby’s most accomplished players and his first season in Chicago lived up to the hype. After making his Hounds debut in their week one win over the Miami Sharks, Fawsitt would go on to make 18 total appearances on the year, including 15 starts.
He tied the league-high for tries scored (14) and added 363 meters on the ground via 75 ball carries. On defense, he registered 131 successful tackles and six dominant tackles. The year culminated in Fawsitt earning his fifth All-Pro selection, and third consecutive First-Team All-Pro honor.
Fawsitt’s career is the most storied in the league. He earned 98 caps and scored 55 tries- both of them sit atop the MLR leaderboards. In 6,437 minutes on the field, Fawsitt carried the ball 561 times and gained 2,826 meters. He’s recorded 883 tackles, including 44 dominant tackles, and completed over 100 tackles in each of the last four seasons.
Additionally, the Irish-born, USA-capped player has ten career postseason appearances.
