Conall Boomer

Conall Boomer signed with the Hounds before the 2024 Major League Rugby season after winning an AIL title with Terenure College in 2022.

During his first season competing in Major League Rugby, the 6’4″ flanker started eight of his 11 appearances. Boomer debuted off the bench in the week two loss at the Utah Warriors before earning his first start the following week against Old Glory DC.

He finished the season with 72 carries for 402 meters and a pair of tries scored, including a seven-pointer. He was stout on defense, completing 66 of his 77 tackle attempts.

Boomer is a former Ireland age-grade player that cut his teeth growing up in the Ulster system. He represented Ireland at the Under-19 level and competed with the U-20 squad in the 2016 World Rugby U-20 Championship. The flanker also spent time in Australia playing with the Western Force U-20 team. Boomer suited up for Leinster in their friendly match against the Chilean national team in the fall of 2022.
