Brad Tucker

The Hounds drafted Brad Tucker in the 2023 dispersal draft, claiming the Christchurch, New Zealand native from the Rugby New York Ironworkers.

The versatile forward appeared in 13 games for the Hounds last season, logging 320 minutes of action during his sixth MLR season. The 32-year-old completed 60 of his 62 tackle attempts, including a pair of dominant tackles. On offense, he carried the ball 21 times for 111 meters.

He first burst onto the scene in 2019 with the Seattle Seawolves, helping lead them to their second consecutive MLR shield. He started all 18 appearances, completing 275 of his 301 tackle attempts, including eight dominant tackles. On offense, Tucker carried the ball 180 times and gained 1,138 meters. He finished the season with seven tries, five clean line breaks, and 16 beaten defenders. He earned First-Team All-Pro honors and was named the MLR Player of the Year.

Tucker featured for the Seawolves for the next three seasons before signing with New York prior to the 2023 season. Over the course of his MLR career, the forward earned 70 caps and started 49 of those contests. He has been a defensive stalwart, attempting 703 tackles and completing 642 of them.
