Game days, team meetings, film analysis, and more: immerse yourself in the Chicago Hounds’ daily training environment.
The Hounds Coaching Academy is a two-week coaching education course that gives local rugby coaches an inside look into the operation of a professional rugby team.
This year, the Hounds are offering two courses in the Coaching Academy:
- Coaching Academy Program for High School, College, and Senior Club coaches
- Coaching Academy Program for Non-Contact, Rookie, and Middle School coaches
High School, College, and Senior Coaching Academy
- Week 1: Sunday March 2nd, 9:30 am – 11:30 am
- Week 2:Â Saturday March 15th, 8:30 am – 10:30 am
The Coaching Academy for High School, College, and Senior Coaches includes seven courses, all led by members of the Hounds’ senior performance staff.
The program costs just $60 for our 2025 season ticket holders and $125 for non-season ticket holders. This fee includes:
- one (1) general admission ticket to the Chicago Hounds vs New England Free Jacks Major League Rugby game on Sunday, March 2nd
- one (1) general admission ticket to the Chicago Hounds vs Old Glory DC Major League Rugby game on Saturday, March 15th
- Chicago Hounds Coaching Academy Polo Shirt
- One day shadowing the performance staff during a Hounds training day
- Watch the pre-game warm-ups from the field level for one game
- Guided tour of the locker room and SeatGeek Stadium for one game
- Certificate of completion
Youth Coaching Academy
- Week 1: Sunday March 2nd, 9:30 am – 11:30 am
- Week 2:Â Saturday March 15th, 8:30 am – 10:30 am
